Strengthening socio-ecological resilience in desert regions

Regenerating Deserts aims to enhance climate resilience among farmers in Egypt's arid regions. As climate change intensifies water scarcity and extreme heat, this project focuses on empowering desert communities by merging renewable energy and climate-adaptive agriculture. Demonstration projects in Moghra and Nuweiba will showcase solutions like agri-PV systems, salt-tolerant crops, and innovative irrigation techniques, creating sustainable and scalable practices for dryland regeneration.
