Alexander D’Hooghe

Alexander is one of ORG’s Founding Partners and serves as Chief Strategy Officer, guiding the firm’s global portfolio of projects across the scales of building, city, and region.
He operates at the intersection of design, data, and diplomacy, structuring complex, multi-stakeholder processes that translate long-term visions into actionable frameworks.
Alexander specializes in large-scale, multifunctional infrastructure and master planning projects with a focus on resilience, industry, and innovation. He has led initiatives including the Capping of the Antwerp Ring, Connecting the IJ in Amsterdam, the Malawi Secondary Cities Plan and initiated the Mobility Optimization Calculator, now applied across multiple regions.
In parallel, Alexander is Founder and CEO of Solv, a technology company developing machine-learning tools to assess risk and optimize the impact of large-scale investments. He previously served as a tenured professor at MIT and founding director of the Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism.
